1.
The Bible (Word of God) is inspired by God and a revelation
of Himself to mankind; it is infallible (never wrong); is the
divinely authoritative guide for our faith, belief, and manner of
living.
(Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
2.
There is one true God, eternally existent in three persons:
God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4 ; John 10:30)
3.
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth,
in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning
death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right
hand of the Father, in His personal future return to the earth in
power and glory to rule for a thousand years.
(Matthew 1:21; John 1:18; Colossians 1:15)
4.
Mankind fell from innocence (sinned) and thereby incurred not
only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation
from God.
(Ephesians 2:1-5,12)
5.
The only means of being cleansed from sin is through
repentance and faith in the redeeming blood of Christ.
( Romans 5:8-9)
6.
We practice two ordinances: (1) Water Baptism by immersion
after repenting of our sins and receiving the gift of salvation.
This act of baptism symbolically declares to the world that our
'old' sinful life has died with Christ at salvation and a 'new'
spiritual life has been raised with Christ. And (2) Holy Communion
(the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering
and death for our salvation until He returns again.
(Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42, 18:8; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
7.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is
given to believers who ask for it. The Holy Spirit in a person’s
life is evidenced by changes in his life, including a renewed love
for God, and people, and a commitment to the scriptures and holy
living.
8.
The spirit filled believer has the capability of speaking
with new tongues (unlearned language) as the Spirit of God gives
them audible expression.
9.
In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
(Romans 8:9)
10.
The Church of Jesus Christ is the universal, spiritual body
of believers of all ages, race, gender, nationality, language, and
is indwelt by God through the Holy Spirit and divinely empowered to
fulfill the Great Commission on earth (seek and save the lost).
11.
Involvement in ministry is scripturally ordained by the Bible
which includes, (1) evangelization of the world, (2) worship of God,
and (3) building a body of believers that will live a life of
Christ.
12.
Divine healing from God is a privilege of all believers.
13.
All Christians who have died will meet the Lord in the air
along with those who have not yet died to live with God forever.
14.
The second coming of Christ includes the rapture of all
Christians, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible
return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for 1,000 years.
(Titus 2:13 ; 1
Thessalonians 4:13-18; Zechariah 14:4-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:10;
Revelation 3:10, 19:11-16, 20:1-6; )
15.
In a final judgment in which the wicked (those who have died
without accepting Christ's salvation), together with the devil, his
angels, the beast, and the false prophet, will be sent to
everlasting punishment and damnation.
(Matthew 25:46; John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:5-6, 12-13)
16.
According to God's promise, we look forward to a new heaven
and a new earth, where the righteous will dwell and reign forever
with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
